What is the difference between the X3 and the X5? The X5 is our updated, larger model of our X3. While both models work to effectively filter the air in rooms, the X5 can cover up to 400 sqft of space, and the X3 can cover up to 250 sqft of space. Both devices have cleanable filters, but these filters are not interchangeable between units, as the filters are designed in different sizes.
Does this unit have a remote? No; however, the settings for the AirSoap can be changed using the button on top of the device.
Is there a sleep timer? This product does not have a sleep timer.
Is it app-enabled? Currently, no app is connected to the AirSoap.
Does it ionize the air? The AirSoap does ionize the air, but it isn't harmful. This air purifier filters ozone below the OSHA standard for ensuring lung health, ten ppb.
Is there a night mode? This product does not have a night mode, but the light is subtle and shows at the bottom of the unit near the floor.
Is it rechargeable, or does it require constant power? It requires constant power, so you'll need to plug it into an outlet for it to work.
Does it monitor air quality? Yes. It self-monitors air quality and adjusts its speed based on the results. The indicator light at the base of the unit indicates how dirty or clean the air is.
What is the AirSoap comparable to? The AirSoap is comparable to all air filters on the market. However, while most air filters require that you purchase replacement filters over time, the AirSoap is designed with washable and rechargeable filters to reduce waste and maintenance costs.
How mobile is the AirSoap? It needs to be plugged in to filter the air, but it weighs only about 11 pounds and can be moved from room to room, depending on your needs.
Does the AirSoap catch odors as well? Yes, it does! The unit's carbon filter removes odors from the air.
How does it perform with pet dander and hair? This product performs well! AirSoap was originally designed to filter pet dander and hair from the air.
Could washing aerosolized viable viruses/bacteria caught on the filter cause any harm, or are all organisms uniformly made non-viable by the AirSoap? Because of ionization, all bacteria and viruses are killed upon filtration. Washing will not cause activated bacteria to be spread.
How often does the filter need to be washed? How do I know when it needs to be cleaned? When it is time for the filter to be washed, the light at the top of the unit will turn red. The red light indicates that it's time to clean the filters. However, best practice recommends cleaning the filters at least once a month.
How often do the graphene plates need to be replaced? How much are they? Do you offer them? Are they easy to replace? The filters of our AirSoap unit are designed to be rechargeable or washable and can be reset or cleaned using the unit's cleaning instructions. Have you run head-to-head studies against top-of-line HEPA filtration units? The AirSoap comparable to most HEPA filters in the same price range. AirSoap can capture particles down to 14nm, while traditional air purifiers use HEPA filters that can only capture particles down to 300nm.
How much space can each model cover? The AirSoap X3 can cover up to 250 sqft, and the AirSoap X5 can cover up to 400 sqft.
How much does the AirSoap cost to operate? How much energy does it use? Even at its highest setting, you would only spend $30 per year. L1-L4: 9 watts / 10 watts / 13 watts / 25 watts.
Does this clean allergens? The AirSoap filters dust, animal dander, hair, and other particles out of the air, helping relieve or prevent allergic reactions to these particles.
Can I use the AirSoap even if I have a window open? Even if the window or door is open, AirSoap is still effective. However, it will take longer than 1 hour to filter the air.
