Cleaning your AirSoap unit is simple! Here is a step by step video explaining how to clean your unit as well as instructions below. Please let us know if you have further questions.
Unplug the power cord. Open the back of the AirSoap and remove the pre-filter, this is a thin lint filter on the bottom of the rack. To clean it, wipe it down with a dry cloth. Do not reinsert until dry.
Above the filter you just removed is the ionization wireframe, this looks like a string instrument. Carefully remove it and use a dry cloth to wipe off every wire.
The collection plate filter is the thickest filter and is light gray in color. Remove the collection plate, flip it over and unlock the plates (there are two lock switches on the bottom), and pull them apart. These can be cleaned in the top rack of a dishwasher or in hot, soapy water. Do not reinsert till dry.
Above the collection plates is the odor neutralizer. This looks like a black honeycomb-patterned tray. To sanitize this you may put it in your HomeSoap, or put it in the sun for 1-2 hours. Do not use any water on this plate.
Once you have removed all filters, remove the gray rubber sleeve that the filters slide into. Wash this with warm soapy water. Do not reinsert till dry.
Clean the inner walls of the AirSoap with a damp cloth, as well as the back of the AirSoap door.
Let everything dry completely, and reinsert all filters and sleeves in the proper location with the top arrow facing up. The easiest way to do this is to lay your AirSoap unit with the logo face down.
Make sure filters are in place and close the AirSoap door.
Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to reset the machine. Your AirSoap is now ready to go!
